Tattletale (Kate > Anyone at Hyperion) [Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 @ 3:44pm]
Location: Hyperion Hotel
Time: Mid-Morning

Kate pulled open the door to the Hyperion Hotel, and rushed in. She knew she had to tell Angel about the escaped slayer. It was what she owed him after all. Plus, she was sure that no matter how good her police squad was, they had little chance of catching the rogue. Stepping into the middle of the room she looked around, not wanting to interupt any meetings that might be going on with Angel's more colorful clients. She took a step toward the stairs that led upstairs. Deciding that this was important enough to merit an unexpected interuption afterall, she called out, "Hello?"

Running Again ( Faith < Anyone ) [Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006 @ 8:54pm]

The Slayer in her screamed. It demanded that her legs go faster, her body move quicker, and that destruction happened to anything that stepped between her and her destination, which so far was the Hyperion Hotel. She knew if any harm were to come to the Fang Gang on her watch, or anyone's for that matter, good ol' Buffy would come running.

Her feet pounded, tore through alleyways, over fences, in the sky, hitting rooftops.

Didn't matter if they caught her. Lilah could take care of it. That was the most of what she remembered from their conversation. Lilah would take care of it. She liked that idea and it only willed her to run faster.

Her body had taken her to her destination though her mind hadn't quite gotten it yet. She stood with the soft, insane smirk on her lips, curling her hands into tight, white-tipped fists and licked her bottom lip.

Excited in the worst way possible.

The newly resurrected suck (Buffy > Anyone) [Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 @ 9:44am]

[ mood | crappy ]

Location: The Magic Box
Time: Mid-Morning

Buffy still held the croissant sandwich in her hands as she headed into the Magic Box, hearing the familar sound of the bell. She knew she should have eaten it at not only Xander's suggestion, but because her metabolism was higher then most girl's her age. Which meant breakfast really was the most important meal of the day. But right now her metabolism didn't feel just slow, it felt like it was in a coma. Everything seemed so sluggish around her and her apathy probably couldn't get much higher then what it was right now.

And not caring made her worry. Right, fantastic way to confuse yourself Buffy she mentally scolded herself. She sighed deeply. Why did things always have to go so wrong? Especially now. Right. The Slayer. It was her gift and curse. Cringing at the thought she walked over and dumped her sandwich into a nearby trashcan, bidding Xander's culinary catastrophe goodbye. Once that was out of the way Buffy wiped her hands on her jeans and looked around for any other signs of life within the Magic Box.

Disingenuous Mornings (Lilah > Lindsey, Faith, possibly Kate) [Thursday, January 19th, 2006 @ 8:21am]

[ mood | determined ]

Location: Stockton Women's Correctional Facility
Time: Morning

Lilah sighed as she stepped up to the metal detector in the Maximum State Prison she had just entered into. She hated doing these types of things. Prison seemed to be eternally dirty. All of it seemed to be covered in dirt and grime even if the walls and bars had just been polished. Filthy. And women's prison? Even worse. You would think the opposite would be true. But here everything was far more worse. Maybe it was the hopelessness hanging in the air or maybe it was ragtime for all women here. Whatever the case may be Lilah despised the sour smell.

She took a shortened breath and stepped through after forking over her purse and the various jewerly she was wearing. As soon as she stepped in a metallic beep began to sound loudly. She frowned and was instantly pulled back by a gruff pair of hands. Men in badges. Always thought they owned the world.

"Earrings," The Correctional office snarled as his eyes ticked over her face.

Lilah glared a little and took them off, tossing them into the pan he was holding. He nodded once they clunked in and she tried walk through again. Success. She smirked to him but he merely scowled and handed her back over her things, keeping her ID she noted.

"A gaurd will excort you once the rest of your party shows up," The gruff officer said as he walked away.

Lilah settled and tried to occupy herself with looking at the clock in leiu of the various prison occupants and gaurds walking about. 8:54. This would be one long day...

Panacea (Xander>Summers Household) [Thursday, January 19th, 2006 @ 5:40am]

Place: Summers House
Time: Morning

As it was his day off, Xander decided to head over to the Summers house. On the way he picked up a box of donuts, a round of coffee, and even a bag full of buttery croissants from the Espresso Pump.

"Hello, hello!" he called out with a somewhat forced cheerfulness as he entered the front door. Moving through the house he continued. "I come bearing gifts of sugary goodness... Anyone interested?"

Plucking a glazed out of the box as soon as he'd set down the rest of the stuff on the kitchen counter, Xander wolfed it down and was reaching for another before anyone came around. The sugar rush to his system helped ease the fatigue he felt after a long night of horrible and erotic dreams... sometimes, disturbingly, at the same time.

Conflicts (Tara > Anyone) [Saturday, January 14th, 2006 @ 7:12pm]

[ mood | drained ]

Location: Tara and Willow's room, Summers' Residence
Time: Night

Tara MacClay lit a candle, the scent immediately reaching her nose. She inhaled with a smile. Willow had gotten her this candle a few weeks ago, and she had just now gotten around to lighting it. The butterscotch aroma was her favorite.

Thinking about the candle and what it meant got Tara thinking about other things. Like the fact that Willow was using to much magick. Sure, the girls were both witches, but Willow was using magick for almost everything. Tara only relied on magick for spells and wards and such things.

Wanting to think of other things, Tara pulled the book she was reading out of her drawer. But it was no use. Her mind wasn't thinking about the book; it was thinking about how to stop Willow from using so much magick. 'I could bind her powers. But she's more powerful than me. She'd find a way around it.'

With a groan, Tara tossed the book back into the drawer. She turned off the table light and blew out the candle, and then climbed under the covers. 'I've got to stop thinking about it. I've got to sleep instead.' She shut her eyes, and sleep soon took over her tired body. Willow was now far from her mind.

Restless (Dawn > Anyone) [Saturday, January 14th, 2006 @ 6:07pm]

Location: Summers' House
Time: Night

Dawn sat at her desk in her room at 1630 Revello Drive, staring down at her math homework. Trig functions. She was pretty sure she actually knew how to do them, but she couldn't force her mind to concentrate on it.

Buffy was out on patrol. She probably thought no one had noticed, but Dawn knew that each patrol had seemed to grow longer since she'd been back. It made her sad and a little angry to think of how little time she'd really spent with her sister since she'd been back. In all of the dreams where she'd imagined her sister's return, none of them had ever went like this: Buffy more quiet and distant than ever, and herself alone in her room staring out the window.

She wasn't technically alone. She knew Willow and Tara were downstairs, researching the latest big bad or doing something. She could go downstairs if she wanted. But she didn't particularly feel like moving from her spot, and she figured she would probably only be in the way anyway. That had to be why "the adults" never let her in on anything. Like when they brought Buffy back from the dead, she had been the last to know. Well, besides Giles and Spike. But that was different. Giles just would have disagreed and Spike...well, he was Spike. If she asked why they hadn't told her, she just knew what they would say. "You wouldn't have understood, Dawnie." "It was best if you didn't know, Dawnie." Maybe they thought she wouldn't have been mature enough to handle it. But after all that she had been through in the past year, maybe it was time they started to treat her like she was a little older than seven. She leaned back in her chair, the homework completely forgotten, and continued to stare out the window into the black night.

(Question: When exactly in S6/S3 is this set?)

Standing Guard (Gunn > Anyone) [Saturday, January 14th, 2006 @ 1:26pm]

[ mood | tired ]

Location: Outside Darla's Room, Hyperion Hotel
Time: Night.

Charles Gunn stifled a yawn. He'd been standing guard outide Darla's room for quite some time, but nothing had happened yet. In fact, he hadn't even heard anything in the room that would suggest Darla was even in there. 'Why do I always get stuck with the muscle jobs? Is that all Angel thinks of me? Just muscle to help take down the bad guys?'

His eyes were starting to droop. 'Damn. Hopefully someone comes by soon. I'd kinda like to get some sleep. Or coffee, at least.' Gunn lowered his crossbow and rubbed his eyes. 'I'm sure nothing will happen if I just shut my eyes for a moment. Not like I'm gonna fall asleep. Just resting my eyes.'

He leaned back against the wall, telling himself he wasn't going to sleep. Three minutes later, the crossbow fell from his hands, making a dull thud on the carpet, not loud enough for him to hear. Gunn had fallen asleep on the job.

The Stuff of Dreams (Xander > Anyone) [Saturday, January 14th, 2006 @ 1:23am]

Location: Xander's Apartment
Time: Night

A snore broke the silence as Xander Harris lay dreaming. It had been a long, hard day and he was still partially dressed in a pair of half buttoned jeans and socks. He'd even forgotten to secure the front door to his apartment, leaving it open in silent invitation to anyone who wasn't a vampire, because he'd been so out of it. And yet possible burglary and long hours of physical labor weren't the concerns that haunted him now.

In his dream, it was day. A fact which made the scene no less bizarre. In fact, it just made it more so. Standing on the roof of a very tall building, Xander watched as down below a pack of wild dogs chased the tiny figure of a dark haired boy. The boy was fast and clever, dodging down narrow alleyways that would force the dogs to bottleneck for a moment in their frenzy, but the dogs were tireless and the boy was not. Already Xander could see him slowing.

Other people went about their day, eating their lunches on little cafe' tables or pausing at the window of a nearby store, but no one seemed to see them but him. No one paid any attention to the pleas for help or the chilling howls of the hounds. No one except Xander.

"I've got to help him," Xander said to the woman at his side.

"You don't understand what's going on here," Anyanka scoffed and then sighed. "You can't help. There's only one way this can end."

"I can't accept that, An'. There's got to be a way down from here, somehow," Xander said, looking around almost desperately for an exit now. A stairway, a ladder, an elevator, anything! But he saw nothing. Just four sides of a flat graveled rooftop and open air. Turning to Anya he grabbed her hand into his own, "Help me, help him. I know you could if you wanted to."

"Fine, I'll get you down from here," Anyanka said acidly. "Just stop looking at me like that!"

Xander let Anya's hand drop and turned back to see if he could find the boy again. Adrenaline began to race through his veins in preparation for the mission. They'd go get the boy, find his Mom for him, and maybe have one of those delicious looking hotdogs after. It'd be great!

He was falling before he even registered the feel of a hard shove directly between his shoulder-blades.

Memories (Darla > Anyone) [Friday, January 13th, 2006 @ 10:33pm]

[ mood | confused ]

Location: Hyperion Hotel
Time: Night.

Darla was laying on a bed in a room in the Hyperion Hotel. She put a hand over her swollen stomach and groaned. The thing inside of her seemed to grow by the second now. A month or 6 ago, she noticed she’d started to gain weight, which was a rare thing because she hadn’t eaten more than usual. Less, actually, she’d felt nauseous and even threw up a few times. Darla didn’t really worry about it, vampires didn’t get sick, so she blamed it on the blood of the old butcher she’d drank the night before. Another 2 months had passed before the bump on her stomach clearly started showing. When she was outside, she received loving touches around her stomach from people she had never seen. It sickened her, but every day it became more obvious; there was something growing inside of her.
Since that they she had visited every possible wizard or sjaman she had heard about, and they all told her the same thing: this was impossible.
Well, it seemed possible though, because this was very much happening!

Since Darla had reached the Hyperion Hotel, and Angel decided to take care of her, vague previous symptoms got worse. She felt the constant craving hunger more every minute, specially because of the lack of pure human blood. She was dying for a child, or a virgin, something in that direction. But that was probably not going to happen here.. The hunger never seemed to still, no matter how much pig's blood she drank, she always wanted more.
It almost felt like it made her insane sometimes, but that wasn't the only thing.
Hormons, those were really bad.
Before this entire.. thing, Darla 'never' cried. Tears were considered as a weakness. Yet now she cried at least twice a day! All the fault of that thing inside of her.. whatever it was.

The worst of all, however, were the memories. The memories that kept haunting her, evne in her sleep. Every day she remembered more.. The things she and Angelus did. The kills.
The screams re-sounded in her head, and however she used to like screams of fear.. screams of despare.., this ones weren't fun. She felt.. guilt. That scared her immensely, she wasn't supposed to feel that! Any of that! She didn't have a 'soul'. Thank God she didn't. The soul was only a torture, nothing more.
But then what was it, that she felt? Trying to calm herself down, Darla blamed it on the hormons. They were just playing with her, after Angel and those people got rid of the thing, she could go back to her real self.

Out of It (Faith>Anyone) [Friday, January 13th, 2006 @ 3:19pm]

[ mood | numb ]

Location: Stockton Women's Correctional Facility
Time: Night

The halls were silent, except for the soft, droning sounds of clicking shoes against cement flooring. A lone guard passed by her cell. And then another. And then another. Maximum State Prison really did leave no rest for its wicked. Then again, maybe it was just her. Maybe only her mind was seeing, hearing the soft clicks and the darkened sillouhettes pass her by, but then again they could have really been there. She didn't know.

Time had taken on a new perspective for Faith. She had all the time in the world, and ignoring it had proved to be useless so far. Then again, time would be against her for all eternity, or however long she would be stuck in this joint.

She turned to her side, letting the plastic mattress beneath her groan against her weight.

Insomnia. Again.

It was the pills these quacks kept putting her on. She swore they were multiplying, changing shapes, sizes, and colors every time she took them. They were really messing her up, she guessed. But it wasn't like she could do anything.

She was useless here.

Now there was a feeling she wasn't used to. Helplessness, holding the inability of holding your own against the dirks that decided pills helpled murderers. She wasn't sick, she knew.

If only they understood the whole "Sunndale" thing, and indeed she had tried making it clear, then things would be much easier she knew. Sunnydale. That word provoked some kinda' feelings. It made her stomach twist and turn beneath her withering skin. She swore she could still smell that sweet Southern California air, flying through her lips and into her lungs.

That was the sweetest taste she had ever tongued.

Plotting, Planning, and Contemplating (Lilah > Anyone) [Friday, January 13th, 2006 @ 10:37am]

[ mood | rushed ]

Location: Wolfhram and Hart
Time: Night

Lilah Morgan smirked all onto herself as she walked down the hallway of Wolfhram and Hart, her heels clicking with each step. She would love nothing more then to have a hot steaming bubble bath while sipping a nice glass of wine. But her tense muscles could wait for right now. Right now she had business to do. Her buisness was the one thing that kept her going. She craved the bad that her company brought her. She knew now that's what had drawn her to Wolfhram and Hart in the first place, why she accepted everything this place stood for. Bad. It was the thing she wanted, what she likes about this place. She was a lawyer after all and it was a known fact that when becoming one some part of your soul becomes detached.

She smirked at that thought. She was almost as soulless as some of the monsters they catered too. Interesting notion. She finally made it to her office and walked inside and plopped down infront of her desk. Not bothering to completely shut her door that was opened just a crack. She was in too much of a rush to worry about eavesdroppers who managed to pass by. Besides, the call would not take long and then she could go home.

She quickly dialed the number to one of Wolfhram's and Harts associates in the medical field and began rapping her fingers on the desk when she was put on hold. After five minutes of listening to the not so calming sounds of the prerecorded ocean someone finally picked up.

"Hello?" a male's voice asked.

"Lilah Morgan," She said wanting to make this quick and precise. "We spoke earlier. I was wondering about the progess you've made."

"Well...it was hard," The man said, Lilah could almost see the smile on the other end as he schemed. "Faith is in maxium secruity prison you know...making the switch wasn't no easy task. We almost got..."

"I don't care about almost," Lilah said holding a hand despite the fact that he couldn't see it. "Did you do it or not?"

"Yes, yes I did it. We rediagnosed Ms. Lehane and I've managed to get the okay to switch out her medication. Starting today she's gone off Risperdal and on to Dexedrine."

"Layman's term doctor.." Lilah said with a roll of her eyes.

"In a few days..." The doctor said in all seriousness, "You'll have one pyschotic slayer on your hands.."

"Good," Lilah said grinning all onto herself. "How much do I owe you?"

"30k. A little extra for how dangerous the job was."

"Fine, you'll have it in the morning," Lilah said hanging up the phone.

Good. Now maybe she can relax a little bit before her trip to prison in the morning. She just hoped her plan would go through without a hitch.

The Night is Watching (Buffy > Anyone) [Friday, January 13th, 2006 @ 9:36am]

[ mood | calm ]

Location: The cemetery, Sunnydale
Time: Night

Buffy Summers stared blankly around her as she entered the cemetery, stake already clenched so tight in her hands that the uneven grains were starting to scratch at her palms. It meant nothing to her though. All of this. She was the Slayer so this was her job. But that's where it ended, that's all it was. Just a job. She shouldn't be here. She should be there. Where ever there really was. Heaven? The name didn't really matter because the only thing that really mattered was that she was happy. Had been happy. She knew the emotion was something she could never have again.

She set her jaw back a little and cautiously entered the cemetery, eyes darting side to side as the moonlight cast glimmery rays across the headstones. She heard the faintest rustling of heel to leaves and let a slow smirk run across her lips. At least some things haven't changed since she had been gone.

"What's a little girl like you doing running around without her mommy?" A low voice snarled from behind her. "A girl could get lost you know....."

So he hadn't heard of her. Must be new. There was hardly anyone, vampire or demon, that didn't know who or what the slayer was. And that she, Buffy Anne Summers, was it. Not that newbie vamp hurt her ego by not knowing, it just the fact that this fight was already a done deal. She never took pleasure in killing these creatures. But, lately she could use any distraction she could get. Even if that meant a long drawn out fight with the undead.

"I'm working," Buffy said in answer to his question, whipping around and taking her slayer stance. She made sure to twist her stake in hand just right so the monster got a clear view of what he was holding.

"Slayer..." The vampire hissed, as if the light bulb in its ugly fanged head finally clicked on.

"The one and only," She quiped right before the vampire lunged at her.

Out Of Character: Just some stuff. [Monday, October 10th, 2005 @ 5:14pm]

[ mood | hopeful ]

This is simplybuffy_rpg, obviously. It will be a Role-Playing Game for the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and ANGEL.

It was going to originally be for only the members of The Simply Buffy Neopets Guild, but, I wasn't sure if we'd get enough people interested in the RPG. So, I've decided it will be open to all who are interested.

There will be an application, but that doesn't mean you have to be the absolute best role-player, because, God knows I'm not. Or anywhere near it.

Please check out the Out Of Character Community sbg_rpg_ooc where further information will be posted.
